Busy bees were buzzing around the hive today. I was going to open them up but by the time I got home from church it clouded over so I decided to wait till tomorrow. Instead I hung out in the hammock and was delighted to see the hummingbird return after two years. So I quickly refilled the other feeders and came back out to put them on the poles. When I came back into the yard there was a giant raccoon sitting on my bird feeder eating seeds to his hearts content. He looked at me and ambled off, very annoyed. This is the first time in the 43 years I have lived here that I saw a raccoon in my yard! I’m just wondering if they bother the bee hives.
